Nutrition is all about obtaining the correct foods for health and growth, so it’s of vital importance to every single one of us – regardless of whether we’re vegan or not (although it could be argued that very few people think about it day-to-day!).
The term “nutrition” can cover a wide spectrum of topics, but the common denominator is always a healthy diet. Diseases, allergies, and other health problems can be caused by malnutrition (an unhealthy diet) and often prevented, reduced, and treated with nutrition (a healthy diet), so it’s no small subject to tackle.
Looking at how the body makes use of the nutrients we supply it with and how those reactions relate to our overall health is fascinating and ever changing. We know a lot more about the relationship between food and health than we did just a few years ago, but there’s always something new emerging – which can sometimes lead to confusing contradictions.
