If you want a multipurpose manual chopper that emphasizes the quality of its attachments over their quantity, you’ll love the SHOOF.

OXO Good Grips Vegetable and Onion Chopper with Easy Pour Technology

Users love that the Gourmia is easy to use and has so many different, useful functions. Like most of the choppers on our list, its plastic is BPA-free and its blades stainless steel. It also has several rubber grips on the bottom to prevent it from slipping while you chop.

Unfortunately, it would appear that the Gourmia isn’t very sturdy at all. Many users have reported that their chopper broke after just a few uses. It’s possible that some of these instances could have been prevented if the instructions were clearer, but customers have reported that the instructions are confusing and incomplete, which can easily lead to breakage caused by user error.

SHOOF keeps it simple with two chopping grids, a spiralizer, and a shredder. It also comes with three different cleaning tools, which is always a plus.

The SHOOF chopper hits all the right notes: it’s made from BPA-free plastic, its blades are stainless steel, its bottom is slip-resistant, it’s dishwasher safe, it comes in a choice of colors, and it’s easy to clean.

Most importantly, it’s easy to use, and this is due largely to the genius of its design. With a push-down lid rather than a hinged one, the SHOOF resists stress that would normally render other choppers useless.

As much as we love the SHOOF, it could be improved by the addition of a mincing grate and a carrying case for extra attachments and tools to make it store as compactly as possible.

Other than that, there isn’t much to complain about; the SHOOF is a reliable, user-friendly chopper that will save you loads of time and stress in the kitchen.
